Belt or clutch ? That is the question

Quick question about belts : bought a 91 skidoo my 470 for my son and I . Worked well last year and on starting it this year won't move . Full throttle spins the clutch and tightens it somewhat but the belt just smokes and won't move .... am I due for a new belt or clutch ? Any ideas would be appreciated.

sounds more like some stuck pulleys..or your tracks frozen to the ground..just guessing. sounds as though your clutch is working if your belts smoking. and youll a new belt if you keep smoking it. hope this helps.
