I have tried for days to get back onto this forum to answer your question, and perhaps you've already got it figured out.
However, I normally deal with issues like this by putting mixed gas directly in both cylinders when the lines have run dry. Typically the diaphragm pumps these engines use aren't very effective when they are dry. And it's the worst when they are bone dry as they often are after several months unused. Two, sometimes three cycles of removing the plugs and placing 2-3 tablespoons of fuel in each cylinder will be enough to generate fuel in the lines and get the carbs wet again.
