2 2001 polaris sport touring 550 two-ups not getting gas.

Hey guys i'm new here and I need some help.

I have 2 2001 polaris sport touring 550 two-ups that are not getting gas to the engine. Both run when we prime the carbs or spray some starter fluid in the air box. It doesnt seem like there is any gas in the lines at all. Im guessing that this means fuel filter? Any help with how to fix this problem would be awesome.

Thanks!

your problem is super sport polaris 2001-2000 550 for sure
bad gas has rotted off you gas line in side tank
replace with silicon line
remove air box -back off line fitting in to tank pull out and go fishing for weight filter and old line in tank.
i have replaced several in past couple of years
add a inch for rotted part of line

use all new in tank

I have tried for days to get back onto this forum to answer your question, and perhaps you've already got it figured out.

However, I normally deal with issues like this by putting mixed gas directly in both cylinders when the lines have run dry. Typically the diaphragm pumps these engines use aren't very effective when they are dry. And it's the worst when they are bone dry as they often are after several months unused. Two, sometimes three cycles of removing the plugs and placing 2-3 tablespoons of fuel in each cylinder will be enough to generate fuel in the lines and get the carbs wet again.
