Wink

You will love all the updates, and new chassis, however, your old 97 big block will walk the new twin quite easily,, on the lakes that is, or high speed road running, * every where else though the new one should be fabulous!!

Raced a 800 ZRT this weekend and was able to beat this guy from the line to the top easy. The twin will win unless you meet some hopped up tweekster. I fear nothing with my 800ZR.

SnowBLown, what year zert did you race, and what was the distance and top speeds achieved? *Just curious.
Not calling you a liar, but it seems odd that you beat him in top end. *I can see you taking it on low end quit easily off the line and even all the way up to 100mph, but after that I would think the triple would start to catch up and walk away...

Thumbs up

No lie. 7300 rpm, needle on the speedo just clear of the m in mph, flat out for 3 miles and this ZRT was not there. It was a 98 ZRT and it suprised the hell out of this guy too. Twins Rule!

Thumbs down

Again, to many variables here. I'll bet ANY money that someone did his own clutching or had a black magic clutch kit on the zrt800. Something was wrong with the setup no doubt.

There is no way in hell that a properly clutched and set up zrt800 will lose to a zr800 PERIOD!

Don't assume that just because you beat one sled that your zr800 will beat all of the zrt800's.

Facts are facts and the zrt800 has more h.p. and runs alot more rpm.

Next thing I'm going to hear is that the zr800 can smoke a thundercat. Well, let me tell you a little information-there is hardly any difference between a zrt800 and a thundercat when the zrt800 is clutched correctly-often times the zrt800 will run right with it and sometimes beat it.

Cant fool me, I know better and have seen and been to MANY races.
