My brother had a 1998 ZR440. It was ported with bored carbs, and geared down a little bit, but it would do 93mph on glare ice.

I think 98 or 99. That little ZL 440 was a nice sled. I had a chance to ride one and so did my kids. It's something that I would of been interested in for a family cruiser.

Current sleds:
75 R/V 245 (serial # 1)
97 MXZx 440
99 MXZx 440
99 MZX 440
04 REV 600 HO

Non Current sleds:
70 Blizzard 440
73 Blizzard 298
73 T'NT 400 F/A
75 R/V 245 mod
76 R/V 250
77 R/v 340
77 Blizzard 440 Super Stocker
77 Moto-Ski 440 Super Sonic (Michigan version)
78 340 SS

The last year of the ZL 440 was 2000 and they were making a ZR440 in 2002. In 2003 they made a snow pro 440 which falls in the ZR 440 class.

I think it was rated around 65 hp. All reports say it was a bullet proof motor.

Angry

Zr-440 has more ponies than the ZL and the only production release year for zr-440 was 1997 same as the race sled in 1998 the zr440 was like the 500 and 600 for consumers and like the 1997 body for racers. SWRules
