:bash: Well as recomended by a few of you, and thank you by the way, I checked out my MPEM for my no spark problem after my rebuild. No problems. Strong spark when put on a similar machine. So now I have to check to see if I did a "you dumb a$$" By which I mean pinched a stator wire, forgot a plug, something dumb like that. I'm going to start at the stator area and work toward the MPEM. Check the coil, regulator, etc... I'll keep you posted.

Ok.. this is what I found. The stator was damaged on one of the winds (fingers). I'm guessing I put a little to much of the puller bolts through the stator can and it rotated when I was torquing the puller and it scraped the stator winds. Would this little of damage make a no spark condition? In case the pic is to fuzzy....The plastic cover is damaged and wire is exposed and some of the windings are severed.

Yes this would be your no spark problem.

I did the same thing when I rebuilt my boat motor last summer, no one ever warns you not to thread the bolts in too far!

looks like you have found your smoking gun. I have experienced no spark on MPEM equipped rotax marine stators when water infiltrates the windings even after they are totaly dried out.

Wow is that a b!#$h or what? Bruce at Pioneer Perf. said the same thing. I didn't have a shop manual, but I hear it doesn't mention that anyway. You live you learn I guess. I was careful to feel for the bolts contacting the stator and not to thread the bolts into it, but it rotated just enough and into it it went. $223.00 in a half inch turn of the crank. Nice! :bash: So anyone out there with the same problem (no spark) if you reassembled the stator assembly before your problem look at it real quick and rule this out. Thanks guys.....
