Our club is trying to plan a radar run for the upcoming season. We aren’t sure when the event will be held but we are leaning towards having the event between the middle of January and the middle of February on Lake Waubesa. If you are aware of any club that is also holding an event during this time it would be greatly appreciated.
At our club meeting tonight we have decided to hold our radar run January 19, 2013 with a make-up date of January 26. The event will be held on Lake Waubesa at Christy's Landing. More information to follow as the event draws near.
At this year's event we hope to have some fast sleds running. We will hopefully have a sled that ran 144.9 two years ago and are looking for some challengers!
We were here 2 years ago with a yellow zrt and a black see through zrt Both pro stocks and our vintage sleds. Good event going to try to make it again this year we will see.
I think that was Hendricks turbo that was running the 144 right??? Could of been someone else it's been a while hard to remember 2 years ago
It was Jason Miller out of Sauk City. We have also had Shannon Dish show up a few years and put up some fast speeds. Hopefully both will be there this year.
UPDATE: Our event is still on for January 19th on Lake Waubesa @ Christy's Landing! We have been contacted by the World Record holder in 1,000 feet (183 mph) that he will be participating in our event. We have also heard that we will have sleds that can top 150 mph as well. We could also have sleds that compete in the NSSR that might participate also.
Thank you to all that showed up at our event, we had a great turnout with some fast sleds. We had a top speed of 157.4 mph and the next fastest was 151.1 mph. If you would like to see pictures you can check them out on Facebook
