I used to do as Hardcore suggests. A little hard on the mud flaps. You just leave them there leaning against the wall - nearly straight up and down. I used a boat winch on a bracket that fit over a rafter
to crank the front ends up. This does let you store 2 sleds in a space with the same size footprint that one would normally have. Eventually, the sleds became too long to do this in a standard garage though.
