I've worn out a couple of Hot Doggers. They work great! I don't have any experience with the others you have mentioned though. We have found that wrapping up burritos or Hot Pocket type foods work the best. Also, use the "oven bags" (like you would cook a turkey with) instead of aluminum foil. The aluminum foil leaves rub marks on the food from the vibration. You can get the oven bags smaller than turkey size (I think they refer to them as "regular" size) which work very well.
You will have to play around with placement to find the right heat for your riding style. I have mine mounted pretty close to my Y pipe for clearance. Mounting right to the muffler is common, but gets too hot for me.
