Went to the auction sat, a 1998 XCR 700 sold for $1,100 and it was mint. The same guy sold a 97 Ultra SPX like mine also, didn't catch what it went for though. We picked up two beater sleds for friends, a 94 Cat Puma Deluxe with elec start for $1,000 that is clean other than needing top end gaskets. And a 84 Rhazer $525 that needs runners/carbides. Put new plugs in them and boy did they run great then. We had a ball on them when we got home. Weird being on these smaller sleds compared to out normal rides. ALOT aof killer deals weere to be had. A 97 Doo Formula III 700 in absolute mnint condition would've went for like $2400 but no one bid high enough. I couldn't believe it. ALOT of two up touring sleds and XLT sold. and they went for a very good price. In the 5 year old and newer austion ring there were some killer deals also. Especially on new sleds from dealers.A new Polaris 440Pro-X didn't selll but iyt had a low reserbe of only $6750. alot cheaper thasn a dealer asks and no set iup or freight . New Doo 700's wentr for like 4500. I'll post the price reports when they come out this week or next. Triples went cheap. But there were alot of 97-98 XLT's in the old sled auction ring that were cherry. Many good phazers aslo. But those lil Yam sno-scoots went for 1400 and 1800. Couldn't believe it. A 80 Yam 340 in like new shape went for like $525. Alot of great starter sleds, and back up there. I did'nt watch the new sleds much but there were some great deals that I saw. especially the Doo touring sleds, dirt cheap. New F7 sno-pro went for the mid- high 6k mark I think also.

I tried telling you this before you bought your ultra dogg. I went there several auctions ago and my buddy bought a 2002 Ski-doo Grand Touring 800 triple for $3,000.00. It had about 2,400 miles and was absolutely mint. Talk about a cadilac, it has everything!
There were several new Polaris XC edges that went for right around the $5000.00 mark. These were new with a full factory warranty, 2 years on the engine. Didn't matter if they were 6, 7 or 800's, they were all within a few bucks of each other.

I keep telling myself to make time and go to one of those auctions. I just never find it.

I'm not a cat fan, but there was a new zr800efi that went for 5,000. It was really a nice looking sled, kinda burnt orange color with alot of grey.
Just go and have a good time. I got caught in the frenzy and bought a go-cart. It has a 6 HP engine and goes like hell! A buddy has two identacle carts to this one that he paid over 4,000 for the pair. His have Brigg & stratton engines, mine is a Honda. I ended up getting it for 600.

One thing to keep in mind. That's where alot of problem sleds go. I know of a few people that unload there sleds there every couple of years that were used as grass drag sleds. They clean them up, put them back to stock and they look and run great at the auction. They know the sleds are ready to come undone. I got burned on a '99 Formula III that showed 1600 miles on it. It looked mint and ran excellent at the auction. I only put about 300 miles on it when it all came apart. The shop I had it at said it had WAY more miles on it. It's a gamble, you could end up with a great sled at a great price or you could end up like I did. I'll never buy a sled there again. I just picked up a '99 MXZ 670HO from a private party and was well worth it to know it's history. I still only paid $3000 for it and it's a great sled.
