I put the complete dash/all guages *out of my FIII into my stx, the wire harness all matched up. My electric fuel guage works fine as does everything except the temp guage.
*I did change the sensor for the proper one but the guage does not move.The lights in it work fine.

The lights are are a different curcuit than the guage itself so they should work. Is it possible that the wiring to the guage is reversed, causing it to want to go in the other direction? DC curcuit lights doesn't matter what way wiring goes on but guages need to be hooked up right. Hope this helps.
