My 94 Mach Z is using at least 2 litres of oil per tank of gas. The cable seems to be fine, it doesn't appear to be sticking so I think the problem is in the oil pump itself. Don't have the check valves on this machine, but don't think they would help this problem.
To replace the pump and add the check valves I'm looking at about $600 including labour. Has anyone ever tried to take the pump off and clean/repair it themselves? or do you know a source for a used pump? Thanks
