Hi Everyone,

I posted a topic in here recently about my ZR600 bogging at low-mid RPM. I ended up changing the plugs and having water removed from the fuel. The first ride after this it ran perfect but now it is bogging again. I would like to try removing the throttle safety switch next ..BUT I don't have a manual handy,

Does anyone know exactly what wire(s) have to be disconnected to do this ?

I don't own a '00 but there should be a 2-prong plug along the steering column, just under the handle bars. Unplug that plug and plug in the by-pass plug (should be found in your tool kit).

It is a three-prong plug. I believe it is the middle wire that goes to the throttle safety switch. Just unplug it and bend the middle prong over so it don't go into plug anymore and plug back in. If you leave it unplugged, the kill switch and key won't work.

A friend of mine has the same low end bog on his 95 zr 580. Can this be bypassed? If so is it in the same location?

I had the same thing happen to my sled. I unplug the carb overrides and still had the same problem. A friend told me to drill a small hole on the back side of the throttle where the pin goes to hold the throttle. Put a small screw in the hole and this will stop the throttle from hitting the override switch. I did it to my sled and it works GREAT!!! Kill switch still works
