: Blair Morgan Edition Rev
Ryan001 01-11-2003, 11:39 AM I think ski-doo should have came out with the REV's like this from the start. The tunnel looks so much better and I might have considered buying one instead of my firecat. I would take the 7c numbers off but I think the sleds looks pretty nice.It is equipped as the hot MX Z X-package with the Rotax® 800 Series 3 twin. The Morgan edition also features the REV-X tilted tunnel, straight from the’03 440 racer, which is six pounds lighter than the articulated tunnel.
But this sled is not cheap..$12,649 CDN each ski-doo dealer gets 2
Ryan001 01-11-2003, 11:40 AM another angle
DAVE7625 01-11-2003, 11:44 AM I think the sled is nice, and and a great improvement over the stock rev tunnel desing, but that and a grpahics chamge are all that is different!!
The sled is basically the same as the x package with no beaver tail and a changed graphics with morgans name on it. They still have the same shocks no deep lug track no bar riser, not racing windsheild with handgaurds and whatnot. IF they put morgans name on a sled they shoukld have made it more racer like and not trail like. . I still think the windsheild looks dumb, the low yellow one that came on the x package sleds is a lot nicer, and it donesnt even have a 1.25 track standard. The seat looks kinda funny with that tunnel actually i think the 440 racers seat looks nicer. has anyone noticed this?
And with that price it should have been the 440 racer with an 800 engine in it! if they would hve had that i would be driving it right now!
MXZonly 01-11-2003, 12:59 PM I love it BUT; thats how they should have looked from the start and they need to make it with the 440 X handlebars and windshield. And its a bit pricy really. For a $1000 less it would be right.
FreezerBurnt 01-11-2003, 02:55 PM It is too bad no 600 HO versions or even a 550 HO fan
Insurance
WickedWiesel 01-11-2003, 05:26 PM Nice sled and it looks better than the ZR that Cat brought out way back when. :)
Troll 01-11-2003, 05:30 PM A really nice looking sled,, but I wouldn't want one with somebody elses name on it,,,,,, besides,,,"Blair" sounds like a girls name,, :p
Hey Troll, howbout a name like "Pete" on it. That would be way cool. :D :D :D SWRules

:) The best thing that happened to me was getting dropped by Mass/Allianz.I insured with the co. that I have everything else insured with and it was alot cheaper.I was paying around 400 bucks last year, that was just lia.fire, and theft with a 500 deductible.Ihave the same coverage this year and I'm only paying 134.00 dollars. So thankyou Mass/Alianz. :D :D
Troll 01-11-2003, 05:50 PM mxz7, "Peter" would be better! ~ROFLMAO~ Thanks for the ~laugh~

Sorry Troll
No offense intended here, but I just got a visual of a Troll riding around on a big "Peter" LOL, I must have inhaled too much 2 stroke today.
Jeff :D
permafrost 01-11-2003, 08:47 PM DAVE7625 U said it in a nutshell man. The seat is the only thing better . Much better off to buy a 440 racer and sell the motor and put a 800 in. prolly doo it cheaper too. The standard tunnel has fewer parts so it should be cheaper not more exspensive. Blair morgan would never ride it. It is just a marketing ploy like the Toni haikonen mxz or the mike houle mach z. Not much more than stickers and colours.
I will say that i am impressed with the summitx REV 800. WE will have to see how it does tho. should be interesting with the 16" track.
DAVE7625 01-12-2003, 12:04 AM Permafrost,
Im glad someone agrees with me. I also agreee with you on how you are impressed with the summit-rev800ho. Right now i would take that over any mountain sled out. I think the 16 inch wide track will go good, but time will tell. I wonder if they will offer a summit-rev with a 16x151 inch track for 2003
BAck to the morgan sled, I think if ski-doo was going to release a morgan sled it should have been a sled that morgan could possibly use, meaning that you could actually use it on the track! not on the trail! it should have been the 03 revx 440 with a 800 or 600ho motor in it, this looks like some blend of the existing rev and the 440 together.
I think it looks better then the existing rev by far, but i dont think its worthy of having blair morgans name on the sled if its not built for racing or jumping, its more of a trail based sled. But as i said before it looks way beter than the existing rev. But for the money the sled should have been the rev440 with an 600ho or 800 engine in it, with all the good compression adjustable shocks, deep lug track and whatnot.
They should change the look of the seat on it also, the 440 had a different seat and this one looks taller and more bulk, i will add a pic so you can see what i mean.
jayjaysin 01-14-2003, 10:52 AM How about a name like "Tucker" on it! :D It would be faster! LOL Just kidding Doo guys. :p
folgers 01-14-2003, 11:21 AM i dont understand what you mena by the money?
a snow checked rev 800 , i cant find them cheaper than 8900.00
im in the process of a the blair sled for 9000.00 with a cover! plus you wont see a ton of them around!
im not buying it for a name on the seat or the stickers but simply for the PRICE! for a extra 100.00!
AND NO BEAVER TAIL!
as for a race set up come on!
rob7374 01-14-2003, 11:27 AM It looks good. They should have done this right from the start. Would I buy one. Maybe. With all the talk and rumors going on about Doo I feel it's like buying a computor. 10 minutes after you purchased it it's obsolete because they come out with an updated or newer version. I really do want one but with all the rumors about SDI's and the new GEN II REV I may just hold off and wait and see.
folgers 01-14-2003, 12:54 PM theres the numbers
800x 8900
blair 9000 w/ cover
there you go its simple!
GEN II REV ? have anymore details on that ?
im still waiting for the REV renagade edition
I think the sled looks way better without the beaver tail. If i had the money i would buy that sled.
BarrieMachZ 01-14-2003, 07:34 PM Unless they come out with a tripple in that beast, I wouldn't spend a dime over the standard REV for a snow flap that should have been that way in the first place....... Really, other than the snow flap and Morgans number what are you buying? Buts thats me, I like to see value for my ca$h or at least something that I won't ever see on this sled again besides Morgans number.
Bring on the 800HO DFI or SDI or 1050 they have sitting in the SeaDoo and then they are talking.
Nothing new, just like the Mike Houle Mach Z.
Frostbit 01-14-2003, 08:05 PM It looks better with the diffrent tunnel however the windsheild has to go. I like the shorter sheild with the bar mounted hand guards.
What do you think of the summit?
You can throw a 50 gallon drum of extra fuel on the rear tunnel of this puppy. :p
anteater 01-14-2003, 08:58 PM looks to me like doo pussied out on the morgan sled just like there spring "X" sleds where are the bar risers etc.at least they did the 02 mx-zx right but what the hell happened to the 03 ''x'' sled and morgan sled.at least cat and polaris build it closer to race replica.
midnight screamer 01-14-2003, 11:29 PM I will be one of the guys that waits to see what they do in march. I am really curious about the SDI and what's up with the Gen. 2 Rev. Sounds like there's better yet to come.

GEN II REV ? have anymore details on that ?
From what I have been told they are working on a revised REV with major changes to the rear suspension. Just what I heard but I'm now seeing ither people mention it on other sites.
Frostbit 01-15-2003, 09:11 AM I'm getting a little tired of Doo making a product they want instead of listening to what the consumer wants. If the spring Rev does not make my expectations like a diffrent tunnel and sheild and 800HO. I maybe shopping at the local pet shop this spring for a Cat, looking for that F-8.
folgers 01-15-2003, 10:26 AM what sold me was a ride on a 800x !!!!
this guy owned a moded mach z, he rode the rev800x and that day put the mach up for sale! the way i look at it is YES i would like a tripple but im not going to BLOW my back out waiting! i ride in VT, last weekend went to a pub and if there wasnt 100 sleds parked there was 150!!!! so you know what the trails are like sh!t!!! i paid 100 over the cost of a 800x.
for that 100.00 i get a cover, no beaver tail, and a sled that will not be all over the trails! IE the F7. as for the 7c # on the side it will be comeing off!!
mxzx1 01-15-2003, 12:20 PM bombi should have put the 800 HO in it......maybe that will be next year!
