I've recently picked up a Ski-doo Blizzard 9500 plus. Semi-reliable sources say the sled was last run about 2 years ago. The model number is 3579 and it was manufactured in May, 1980, which tells me it should be a 1981. The paint scheme is red and black, like an '82. I'm not real mechanically inclined, but it looks like it has oil injection, which, according to what I've read, did not appear until '82. What sled do I have? Thanks.

I think it`s an 81. 81 were red and black 82 are yellow and black. It is premix the oil tank is for your Rotary valve.

The 3579 does go to a 81 Blizzard 9500. It's a premixed sled and should run regular fuel at 25:1. the sled is red and black. The seat is red on top and black on the sides. The hood is red with black stiping on the sides and black on the V part of the hood.
