The guide clips on one side of my Polaris (Camoplast) track have worn thin to a knife edge and are cutting ribbons off the Hi-Fax. Do I replace these clips or get a new track to replace this one (it's a 97). The wheels and drive sprockets have begun (barely) to wear through the rubber on the inside of the track. What do some of you other high mileage riders/mechanics suggest?

I'd look at a new one, that track has got to be stretched with 15k on it.

Sounds like you got your money's worth out of that one. Go new so you don't hav to worry about that one failing in the middle of nowhere. Check out Tracks USA (http://www.tracksusa.com).

If you don't go on big long rides where you might get stranded I'd put a few new clips on it and ride it till it falls off.You might be surprised how long it will go.

Buy a new track man!!!!!!!! Shoot they are cheap this timeof year. I'd get a taller lug track also, better overall performance. Look on ALL the different snoqmobile sites and Ebay. Even a new one will be less than 300 probably. the popular tall lug tracks are around 389 though. Many replacemenet track run under 300. Llok around man.

Shoot there's even a free 136" in the classifieds that looks to be in decent enough shape.

15,000 miles !!! You must ride in perfect conditions at ALL times !!!
That track owes you nothing.
Buy a new taller lug like some of the others said, you will love it.
While your at it, buy me one too, you should have bought 3 tracks in 15,000 miles or you would if you rode in Michigan.

Sounds like the verdicts in, drop a few bucks and save yourself grief in the long run with a fresh track. Amazing mileage out of the original, you should send it to Polaris for framing.
