I just recently bought an REV 800 and was told the idle speed (RPM's) should be around 1700 - 1900. When I first start it up and let is warm up the idle speed is around 2000 RPM. If I ride it and then come to a stop, the idle speed is around 2600 - 2800 RPM's, and it stays that way. Is this normal, and if not, how do I solve this problem?

Thanks in advance for your help!!

:D

My 2003 800ho does the same thing. I looked by the carbs and noticed a idle screw on top. Oppened it up about one half turn and it works great. :D

Open the side panel (the clutch side) Right on top of the carbs there is a big obvoiuse screw. It adjusts the idle for both carbs. Just turn it till the idle drops to 1600-1700RPM.

Also make sure the clamps that hold the carbs on to the engine are not loose.
