Hey everybody,
As some of you may remember reading, last season I had a bad plug fouling issue. I would fould at least 1 plug every ride, and towards the end of the season I ended up fouling 4 in a 30 mile ride. It went into a few different shops (sometimes a couple different times) and not much was done to it. The last ride of the season I fouled 2 plugs in 35 miles or so.
Anyway, this year I decided to go from my typical BR9ES plugs to the BR9EYA's (edit). This weekend I went for my first real rides (Saturday and Sunday) and put on a little over 100 miles and didn't foul any plugs.
I can't say the problem is completely gone 'til I ride a little more and see how she runs, but like I had said, I would foul AT LEAST one plug every ride I went on last season, and most rides were 30 miles or so.
I just wanted to post an update with the results I had seen.

Hi Piranha,
as an owner of a Mach-z 98 (24500 milles) ,have you a jetting update(310-320-310),and if you have it try CHAMPION plug this is the best i test.I used approx 1 set every 5000 to 6000 milles.BR8 is not recommanded for intensive used(hole in piston)!I use RN2K Champion.
Take care! Z36Qc SWRules ;)

Plugs make a diffrence on the Mach.
NGKs would foul at Idle on a cold day. I would go thru a set per weekend.
Now with Super Bosch plugs (Cost 2.80 same as BR9ES) Ive got over 3000km without a problem. And the sled runs good.
I dont know why but ive had very poor luck with NGK over the years in every two stroke i owned. It seems that 1 out of every 4 is a defect.

Oops sorry, I meant I am now using the BR9EYA, not the BR8*** like I said.
We'll see how these go and if they foul I'll try something different...either way they seem to make a difference.

I had these plugs recommended to me last season near the end of the season...I'm not sure who told me to run them.
Unfortunatly at the time I was told to run them, my sled was in the shop. When I got my sled back, I only had the chance to run it one time before we lost our snow, so I didn't get a chance to try these plugs.
I'm not sure, but the plugs SEEM to be doing the trick. They may not have cured the problem, but time will tell...even if they didn't cure it, they are better.

I had the same problem with my last sled... a yamaha. Went all last season starting with BR9EYA and never fouled a plug. Sold the sled to a friend who I ride with this year. That same set of plugs is still in there on their second season and no problem. Like you, I would foul at least one a ride before switching.
What is the difference between the BR9ECS and the BR9EYA?? Does the BR9EYA come with the solid top? My Doo dealer actually told me to try the BR9ECS plugs in my Mach..
:) We have an ext 580 efi in the family and we where fooling
br9es as fast as fire burn gas, and after reading a lot of post on this site on the subject I did put the br9eya in it and it cure the problem so far. I never did like ngk for that in the 2 strokes very easy to fool im a bosh guy but no one around here stock them,
so im stuck with ngk. but the br9eya have give good result. ???
