I am not much into the KPH to MPH conversions so what does this come to on the south side of the border.
I hope there were not any planes wanting ti land while you were playing on their runway.

Machzzzz1

Here it is a bit smaller.

Thats about 126mph

SNORAT

looks to me like the ole jack stand trick to me. just look at the lighting on the dash and how it is reflecting off that is definitely indoors

if you want to impress people make sure you get a little of the trail in sight when you do that. but the way it looks right now i dont believe it one bit

Mighty RX-1
02-26-2002, 09:32 PM
The reflection is from the flash. Which also indicates it was taken indoors because you don't need the flash outdoors!

Shame on you machzzzz1 http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wow.gif

hey maybe it was at night.

Machzzzz1
02-26-2002, 09:59 PM
Definitly not at night or on a jackstand. *I will get the trail this weekend. *Like i said i put the camara to close to the sled. *

I would not rev my machine up to 200km on a jackstand just to impress a couple of guys. *A $12000 cdn machine is not worth blowing up an engine just for a pic. *

The light was reflection of the sun coming of the glass of one of the gauges and hitting my lens. *Its a complex camara and im no bird watcher. *

I took the pic using the Timer. *I set the timer at around 170 and the camara was mounted on the bars. *The vibration caused a bit of a blury pic. *

Dont want to belive me. *Fine I dont care. *Ill get you the proof when i re shoot it this weekend!!! *

Take Care. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif

zzzz1,
*hey i only said it might be at night you go for it this weekend and bring back a picture that i am sure that sled will surpass 126 miles per hour. *http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif

Another thing.

Shame on me for what?

The only thing im gulity of is risking my life to try and take that picture to prove to a friend that i could go that fast. *

I know it looks a bit suspisious not seeing the trail and I was pretty disapointed after i took the pic and looked at it later on the computer. *You cant really tell using the crappy viewfinder thing on the back. *I wasnt going to post it till i got a good shot but i figured what the hell let them see what a rotax can do. *

ZR580RULES- take your sled and put it on a stand. *Bring it to top speed and take a picture. *Tell me if you have an engine left. *

The most i ever reved up to on a stand was 80 and i thought it would blow up then. *

I kinda figured i would be attacked by Arctic cat and yamaha fans. *Oh well *http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif

Go for it Machzzzz1,prove it to those unbeleivers.

Machzzzz1
02-26-2002, 10:49 PM
Ok. *I just found the instruction book for my camara and i think i got the lens figured out. *Im not leaving that runway with out a shot of the sled gauges and trail. *Maybe even the throttle. *

If you dont belive me then you probably never will. *

Paul I know what you ment. I thank both you and MXZ7 for the support. *But i dont need it. *I go to these speeds all the time so i just need to get a better shot of it. *But i do see where there coming from. *It sort of does look like a flash.

So if the weather holds out which i think it will you and all the fellow belivers will have the pic that hopfully proves the speed.

Machzzzz1 *i wish i did not blow my track off on the river last weekend. *I was wanting to do what you did. *But mine was going to but in MPH *it hit the zero on the 120 *on the two mile streach. *I have a Formula 111 700 and it is not stock. nice picture

I don't believe for a minute that Machzzzz is stupid enough to rev his sled up to 200k on a stand. *I think its a nice pic, I do it the safer way, with a GPS that holds top speed.

Got the Grand Touring 700 up to 180km on the speedo, but the GPS only registered 164. *Not too bad for a snow-mo-couch.

hey MZZZ, how did you mount your camera? I may try that, my daughter doesn't take good pics when i get up that high. lol.
*i got 122-123 on the speedo on my stock '98 SRX(only a Hauck clutch kit). I didn't figure that was much, don't know how much speedo is off. *oh, and I go 6'2 285-290lbs.

Darryn Duncan
02-27-2002, 07:45 AM
For you sledders south of the border 200kph converts to 124.2742mph.
Hey Machzzzz1 how did you mount your camera on the handle bars, I have a digital video camera from work that I want to do something similar to that just in video. The only thing I could come up with was using duct tape but I dont want the camera to get all sticky.

Hey Machzzzz1 where are you guys going this weekend? I live in Barrie we just recived about 6" of snow and its still falling! What kind of turn out, how many people come out to play? * Is the all so famous Paul Yarek going to be there maybe signing autographs(hehehe). That pic looks like you may have been going to the gas station (in a hurry&#33http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif. Looks like you have that machine working good!

Machzzzz1
02-27-2002, 08:28 AM
Zert I held it on with duct tape. *I wanted to do it fast on the spot. *But the handle bars are to close on the mach and I though the lens would have been wider and capture a little trail though the windshild but i guess since it was bright out the camara just made the windshild black. *

Ill be in bancroft

If you really want to prove it to these non-believers you should strap a video camera to your bars. *Somebody you know must have one. *Then these guys can't deny anything.

If I had a long enough stretch down here I would deffinatly try it. *Unfortunatly the lake isn't frozen and I don't know of any place long enough on dry land to hit those speeds. *I had my speedo reading 110mph on a dirt road once, but I doubt I'll do that again because the rear end of the sled got really twitchy. *Yikes.

Anyway, great picture man....don't listen to these guys. *I'll admit that it is hard to say that it deffinatly is on the trail in the pic, but you also can't prove that it wasn't. *Take care and I look forward to seeing some more. *Be careful though *http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif *.

Yeah....zip ties and rubber in between..that would hold it pretty well.

02-27-2002, 02:37 PM
Duct tape that sucker to your helmet so we can get a
familiar view. Around here they call duct tape 200 mile an
hour tape so according to the saying it should hold. *http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/biggrin.gif
Then we could see the gauges and some sroundings blurring
by. That should make believers out of a lot of us and it
would be one hell of a pic.

I'm going up around Wawa (SP?) this weekend and I was
thinking about the same thing.

Just keep a watch out for the opp and stop officers. They have a zero tolerence policy this year when it comes to speeding on trails, aftermarket exhaust($280 fine i think),trail permits properly affixed to machine, all paper work for machine including your driver licence.Trails in northern ont are definately seeing an increase of traffic this season and according to rottie and a few others there is almost to much snow right now.Good luck http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Hey ZZZZ, if your in Bancroft this weekend, why don't you ride down to Coe Hill for the drags? *Ice and snow tracks. 660' with lots of classes. Also a 2000' radar run. I'll be there and can verify your speed for you. Information has been *in the Bike Boat and RV Trader the last two weeks.

Central does not do my work for me. *I just bought the machine. *

Im going to be out riding with 9 other people so i dought they will want to go to the drags but i might show up for the radar run. *I will find out what time some how.

But i will get an other pic on the airport runway and i will get the trail this time. *

ON a gps my sled will creep up to about 200km but the speedo is of by about 10km. *But if i do show up at the run i will try my best. *I can easily get to top speed in a 2000 run.

This will probably be my last weekend. *After i am going to vermote skiing and with the way the snow is I dont think i will be doing anymore driving. *Next year. *

My sled really isnt dialed in for drag racing. *I need a new track and more studs. *Also an exhaust will help. *But up hear the cops through the book at you if you have an exhaust system. *

Next year i will have the REV and i will dial my mach in for racing and take the tweed ice drags. *I will also go to some others like the Moria drags and bancroft. *Right now i just got the speed but not the launch to win drag races. *hell my 500 mxz gives me trouble in the start because im just not hooking up. *

Next year. *

But i do feel very competitive. *Engine is making a lot of consistent power and clutching and gearing is right on. *All i got to get is traction and more midrange and im set. *But i go to a lot of drags and know what i need to do to win so until I got a winner im not going to show up and lose.
