I was thinking when I go to rebuild my 800 I would like to have a 1000. So guys can you get the gugs off the 1000 and put them on the 800 with new pistons and rings?

COMPLETE 1 LTR TOP END PISTONS, CYL,HEADS ALSO DONT FORGET THE PIPES, CDI BOX, CLUTCHING , PROBABLY EASIER TO BUY ONE OR MOD YOUR 800.

You're gonna need a lot of money. Like the last guy said, there are a lot of used T-Cats out there for less than what you're gonna spend, if you sell the 800 to put towards it.

you could get it bored 1000, ported, and head modify through PSI for $1500 US. then it would be a true sleeper and would give you what you want ;) I'm looking into the Genesis 1200 for my zrt 800 from PSI.

I can build your 800 into 1000 for $750 and if you want to add trail porting at that time it would run $1000 for the complete job less shipping costs. That puts you right at 190HP on pump fuel.
