Where is best place to get a belt for this sled? Is dayco ultamax a good belt? does anyone know numbers of these belts and a good price? *Thanks

i run a 98 mach 1 with the belt ski doo sold it with and run a dayco as a spare! id stick with a bombi belt

The belt that comes on the sled is a 127 Skidoo belt and it is too soft and creates inconsistency in the engine rpm, the gold series belt is too hard of a compound. The best belt we have found and recommend for the sled is the Dayco Ultimax 2 belt and the correct belt is Part# 138-4332, not the belt that the Dayco book lists (144-4353). Also be sure that your clutches have correct center to center and offset. *-- *Bill

Hey bill, Why is the 4332 better? I see that it is a bit wider and a little shorter than the 4353. Is that better for drag racing? I phoned they're tech line and they list the 4353 for the renegade but say you can also use the 4332. Will i see better top end with the 4353? *Sorry for all the questions but i have always run OEM skidoo belts. Right now im running 127's on my sled and ladyk's 02 mxz700. Why would I use the Dayco 138-4332 rather than the 144-4353 for my '01 MXZ 700? Just curious as to what the advantage is. Thanx!

Also the machz belts *140-5157 vs 138-5120. *

138 belts are 1.38 wide and 144 are 1.44 inches wide. I tried the 144 and didn't pay attention. Funny things happen when the belt won't shift all the way back down in the primary.

What happened with the 144 belt 800mxz. Was it no good for a mxz800?

Can anyone else Shed some light on which belt to use 138 or 144? :cussing:
