Here is a pic from Sunday that I just had to share. along with it is a topo map. if you see the blue line, that is the way we got there. the X is where the picture was taken. this can give you a better Idea of the terrain.

Nice picture. Its always fun to ride up to the edge of large drops and hang on to a tree and take a gander over the edge  Wouldn't want to over shoot this summit :0:

Those are some sic pics guys. :0: I can see why people like clear days to ride in the mountains. Must be nice if you are up there and a blizzard blows in.

That looks like a nasty storm coming. Did ya make it out before it hit or did you have to ride right into it? ;)

We rode into it. It was kind of spotty all day. Just when it cleared up and we thought we could extend our riding day another one would hit us. It took us about two hours to get down out of the storm. We had to be real careful that we didn't drop into the wrong canyon or our sleds would still be there. In the center of the picture in my first post is a group or about six stuck sledders. They look like little ants. We got them unstuck and led them out. Riding in a large group like that in those conditions is kind of unnerving because it's difficult to keep track of everybody. Especially because we didn't know anybody in the group of six and half of them were on short tracks. This picture shows how rugged the terrain was a little better.

I'd give my left to get a storm like that around here. Or any storm, for that matter.
