Becareful if you decide to rejet. The main jets on this sled are fat because the mid range (needle jet) is lean. This is a long standing issue with Ski-Doo so be aware.

Plus, just off idle or between idle and mid is really controlled by the fuel screws/needle jets not the main jet. The main jet overlaps the needle jets more in the mid mid range. There are other things you may want to consider as well. Ski-Doo also had a problem with the reed cages delaminating on the 800s and some smaller motors, this will cause a erratic running motor.

Did you buy this machine new? What is your current operating altitude and temps? I ask because I currently have my motor set for 2000 feet and lower and about 10-15 below F.

Hang tight, I am sure there are many others on here who can also help. Permafrost, Gunner and many others are quite knowledgeable and experienced.

I would suggest checking the choke to make sure it is adjusted correctly. If it is not set right it could be on just a liitle and causing this problem ;) I hope this helps you Permafrost

Snowmad, did you figure this out yet?

I knew I forgot something. Permafrost may be right on with the sticking choke cable. While I did not have this problem, I understand many did.

Have you had the updates done to your sled, including the new secondary spring and new needles. If your sled was spring ordered it has a 2 year engine warranty. Contact the dealer and then bombardier if your dealer will not get it running properly.
