I have a 2000 EFI ZL 600. I notice it has a dead spot sometimes in the throttle. It almost sounds like it cuts out and wants to stall but never does. It is very annoying. Has anybody heard of this and does anybody know a possible resolution.
Thanks,
Mike

Throttle safety switch. Do a search and you find many posts on how to bypass for testing and solutions for repair. Mine is acting up and I have replaced the bushings in the throttle assembly, but we have not had any snow so I have not been able to test. ???
Good Luck

Chech the T.P.S. <throtle position sensor> that tells the e.f.i. how much fuel to send to the injectors according to how much you squeeze the handle..

If the sled has APV power valves they could be stuck open and need to be cleaned.

on my zr 600 efi it seem after a proper warmup it never has a problem but if its cold and you want to mash the throttle it will cut out. Don't know if thats right but thats the way I've always known it to be.

If you find out that it is the throttle safety switch, and you replace the plastic bushings, the top one will have a little nub on it make sure that it points backwards in the alongated slot, if not it will not correct the problem. my sled was acting the same way and the mechanic put them in wrong. I put them in the right way and the cutting out problem is corrected. :p :p :p :p
