does anyone know what weight of oil to put in chaincase on my 84 ss 440. would 80-90 work?

no man i think you honestly can use ATF fluid.

if im wrong someone inform me but i read it someplace that its good to just use ATF, unless your racing or somethin.

I've always used 80-90 and have not had any problems.

dont know if its true or not but the guy at my local yam shop told me the chain case oil they sell is nothing more than 30w nondetergent oil
