ok guys, I've got a loud mouth uncle in-law with a new 600 indy classic who thinks he'll get me on the lake, flat and straight. Both sleds are stock, no studs. How much should I bet him before I put the big hurt on his new ride? LOL :p

Assuming you have the triple he is gonna get you on the bottom end but if your running the lake you should take him on top.
make sure you are dialed in and set your suspension for good transfer,Let us know the results.

i had a 98 ext with the 600 triple 2 yrs ago. if its setup really good like mine was and it is transferiong its weight properly i say u will take him. at that time i was riding with a 98 xcr 600, 2000 formula z 600, 2000 mxz 700. the only guy who could beat me was the 700 mxz. the other guys couldnt stay with me, out of the whole or top end. i also beat a 600 x edge and a 700 xc and 70Ozr with it the early last yr on the lake. u get that thing working right and it will stay with anyother good working 600.

What do you think the best suspension setting is for me in order to get the most hook up (I'm thinking the softest). In my gear I'm about 175lbs. There's only about 1-2" of frozen snow on the lakes up here. My sled is running really well but I haven't had it radared yet. I wonder what the top end would really be.

Well i weigh 145 without gear so we are pretty close,i have an xlt and a zrt and both sleds i stiffened up the front arm atouch and softened the rear, then move your rear arm forward you will see a bunch af holes for this.
This will you help the transfer a little better, about 144 studs would also help a lot.both of my sleds just squat and launch on take off but take a little practice on the trail because of reduced ski pressure on acceleration.
