If I get a electric shield I want to wire it into my 1995 z580 efi. Is it safe to run it directly to the battery? If not, which wires do I tap into?

check the wiring harness for unused outlets and with the sled running test the wire for power. do not hard wire it though use the 2 stage switch in between the power and your shield. the shield will last longer.

I have a 99 ZR and I tapped into the hand and thumb warmers. I haven't had any problems and I get a ton of heat to the bars too. ;)
