Last Thursday while on a sledding trip returning to his cottage from Parry Sound, Jack Bourrie of Peterborough, suffered a heart attack and passed away.
I had known of Jack from when I worked as an apprentice in the Oshawa Car Plant where he retired from in 1985. He was on the executive of the Paudash Trailblazers while I was on it. Afterwards he was a director on the OFSC.
Anyone who snowmobiled with him enjoyed his sense of humour and quick wit. He always looked forward to the annual sledding trip he took with his sister, brother in law and my folks.
Like a lot a people have said he went doing what he enjoyed and will be missed by all.
