CALL UP HPE!!!

THAT'S RIGHT, HIGH PERFORMANCE ENGINEERING IN MN.

TELL THEM HOW YOU WANT TO RIDE, AND THEY WILL TELL YOU WHAT TO BUY. YOU DON'T NEED PIPES, JUST A CAN. CLUTCH KIT AND GEARING ARE UP TO HOW YOU WANT TO RUN. REEDS AND K&N'S ARE POSSIBLE.

CALL THE TECH LINE AT 218-681-2390
OR ON THE NET @ HIPERF.COM

IF YOU GOT THE CASH, THEY WILL MAKE IT ROCK!!!!!

Whatever you do, dont go the silencer route...anyone who claims you get a performance increase with a silencer is full fo crap. Don't believe it, ask any REPUTABLE dyno operator-how's h.p. loss sound to ya? Yeah, that happens often with alot of these silencer companies out there.

Either go with D&D or PSI on a set of pipes---PSI if you are just going to race it.

I have talked with HPE'S tech line before and I wasn't all that impressed.

You have to decide if you want to spend money, how much, and if you have the time to tune it yourself...bolt ons or so they are called always need to be tuned-if they don't, they arent helping your sled out. About the only bolt on item would be a clutch kit that you might get lucky and not have to mess around with right from initial install.

Definately dont go with K&N's unless you want to jet all the time. Yes, pipes work awesome on a 600 triple-that would be a good bolt on.

Your sled-pipes, power breather, and clutching will make it rock pretty good. Forget about all the other stuff. I wouldn't even waist your money on V-force reeds unless you have the money to dump for a 2 h.p. improvement on the top end. I bought them and cannot justify the expence for the little h.p. improvement. You do get 6 h.p in the midrange but that doesn't help you in a drag race...

Just pipe it and it will sound sweet-the PSI pipes are quiet untill you get it past 7500 then they are louder and got that sweet piped sound-not too loud though...just right.

according to dynotech during one of their pipe shootouts psi made the most torx and horsepower

I have a 2000 ZRT 600..i'd go with the PSI pipes,I use a 57/49 helix,54.5 gram weights, stock secondary spring,Mine engages at 5500rpm..but that might be to much for your intended riding. Also i use V-Force Reeds, they really wake up the 600's engine. My 600 will run with my ZR900 for about 400 feet but then the 900 will pull away...but thats not to bad for the old ZERT!

It depends on what the other sled has.
