Buckin HO 02-06-2003, 03:54 PM My 88 pantera has a 96 440l\c And she snaps fast but maxes out at 72 mph And thats at about 7000. What I am wondering is what to do with the clutches where should I start tinkering the primary has a red spring on it and I cant tell the color of the secondary. Turned out his secondary wasn't opening. You should be able to tell by looking at the secondary, you will see if the belt has been moving in the clutch, there will probably be a worn spot on the side of the clutch. His ran great after it was fixed.
