is it common/normal/unusual that my 03 Blair Morgan REV 800 has a bog when I first start it up?
Usually on all my other sleds I would put choke on full pull the rope 2 or 3 times and they would fire right up and idle high, then start to idle down and I would go to half choke then the idle would drop again and I would turn choke off. This procedure has always worked on my 97 Formula 3 my 99 MXZ 600, my 01 MXZ 800X and my wifes 02 MXZ 600 X. But not our old fan cooled or My 7c REV. With my 7c I have to give it enough gas to get up to around 3000rpms otherwise it bogs out and tries to stall, I cant just fire it up and let it sit and idle either. Is something wrong? Maybe my dealer didnt set something up right or what?
Seems fine after I get it warmed up and Im out riding.

Here in NH with the temperatures in the high twenties, I have been having success by using only half choke. I'll check for what you're saying about it tomorrow when I first start it up. I remember that on cold mornings (0-10F), my old '01 MXZ 800x would require that I pulled it on full choke maybe three times, then wait about 20 seconds, then she'd start on the first pull after that. I'll let you know on my 7c tomorrow.

I have the same problem with my rev 800. If the outside temp is warm or cold, i put the full choke till it starts ( 2 or 3 pulls), then as soon as it starts i put the half choke for about 30 sec and then take off the choke, give it a couple of shots of throtle and then let it idle for about 5 min. During idle it tends to run at about 1300-1500 rpm when cold.

It's just cold, my 500 is that way too. not a big deal. just play with the throttle a bit and then let it idle. It is fine. I don't know of many sleds that aren't like this.

Sounds like the carbs are out of wack. Probably choke isnt setup correctly.
