i took my sled a couple weeks ago to get the carbs cleaned and sncyed. i got the machine back and he tol me he jetted it up for me... i took it out for a ride and it feels real boggy and will not stand up or will not jerk me back like before.. Before i could barely hold on atwot now at wide open throttle it just bogs a little and takes off..its still pretty fast but its really boggy???could it be from jetting it up(ITS STOCK).. and what jets should be in it pilots, mains air screws,ect... Not having much luck with this machine...its sounds really boggy..
Comp 130 all the way across
new stator
new coil and wires...
the machine does smoke alot and im using amsoil syn...

you should have 380 mains all the way across, if you are stock then you can safely jet down one size. I had Crankshop pipes and V-Force II's on my 97 Mach Z and never had to change the stock jetting. I think the pilots are 45's but i'm not positve, i don't have my shop manual with me it's in the garage but i'll post all the stock settings for you tomorrow if nobody else has first. I'll also give you a killer clutch setup for it.
urocav2001: 380 mains, #50 pilots. What was the mag cylinder problem that you had? Dino

im usiung a goodyear powerstreak belt.. it doesnt feel like a clutch problem the engine sounds very boggy and there is a lot of play in the throttl cable could this be y or is it going to break there ie about a 1/4 in until it catches.

What you should do is put the stock jets back in.take your air box off
and take your left hand and put one finger on the bottom of the pto side carb & the center carb and then push the throttle in and see if both the slides open together then do the same for the mag side if they dont go up together your carbs are not synchronized.also i would check to see if the oil pump lever is adjusted right there are two lines one on the pump & one on the lever the should line up at idle.

:) what belt do you reccomend with this sled and what is everybody else using
urocav2001:The best belt for your sled is 417 3000 67, I tried the 417 3001 27 but it slipped with the beige spring. As far as using after market belts, No I have always used stock belts as they match the ramps and helix profile to provide the best belt pressure. Dino :)
P.S. I checked the belt I now have on and it shows little wear after 3000 miles of use and this year only 27 miles so far, but their hard ones 1320 feet at a time. :D
