Out enjoying the best snow we've had in years, and my 2000 MXZ700
locked up. Got it home and pulled the top end off, no damage to the
rings, slugs or cylinder walls. Tried turning it over by hand and it went about a half revolution, then turned it back same amount. Any ideas
what happened? What a female dog this is!!!!

Another vote for crank bearings. (if everything else is good.)

Sounds like the piston rod is bent. A new crank will be needed, or at least rebuilt.

Crank Bearing, been there done that and got the tee shirt, they were famous for that in 00 and 01, my 01 700 did the same at 3300 kms and my buddys seized at 3200 kms, but thankfully doo gave me a new Short block to replace it with. Seems ski doo never put big enough oil holes to keep the crank bearings lubed. :sarcasm:
