Paidincash it is the best nothing beat riding powder IMO. IT is very taxing on the body . Makes ya realize how out of shape you are. :p You dont have to go out west to find the deep powder tho, Ontario, Quebec and Vermont to name a few should be able to provide you with 5 feet plus on most winters :)

As Permafrost mentioned...I live out West in Idaho, Northeren part. We do ride in 5 to 6 feet and it is awsome. If you can picture seeing a person from the waist or chest up going through the snow and can not see the machine. If you are looking down all you see is powder and can not see your own machine. There is nothing like it anytime anywhere...Hope you get the chance to find out for yourself.. :inlove:

I have had days in the powder where we have only gone 15 miles in 6 hours and burned around 8-9 gallons of gas. It will be 10-20F and you are shedding your coat. You learn how to build trails with your buddies and not to dig ruts if possible. I have always wondered how someone can put 200 + miles on in a day? If we make it 70 it's a long day and we are tired. Way too much fun!

When we go out riding we don't have any problems putting a couple hundred miles on. When I went to the mountains we didn't put many miles on at all. We were all so damn tired from the powder we had to stop every 10 minutes to rest!! It was great!!! :D

powder riding is just about my favorite thing to do. it is great your out there just floating around. when you turn its a blast to just lean over and hammer it and you lay down right in the snow and whip yur sled around. it is also a blast to climb big hills in the powder doing cuts on a steep hill is a blast. it is a work out though the only way to manuevor yur sled is with yur body. you will enjoy it.

you guys are giving me goosebumps....but please go on. I am from the east coast and in my area we dont see a lot of powder. I do alot of trial riding and can put on 300 plus miles and not be tired. I would love to go out and hit some deep powder, we do get a lot of snow in the higher country but the trick is to talk the buddys into riding it. Most people here are so brain washed that trial riding is the only way to ride.

i really wanted to do a lot of off trial riding this year. it started out great. we got 2 huge storms before christmas. i got my f6 out and was very pleased with the way the 1.375 track worked in the deeper snow. Then we lost our snow the rest of the year we really didnt have enough to go off trial, there was no bottom to it, and u never knew what you were riding over.

Hey... We can tell you all about powder ridding but until you actually experenice it on you own....you'll truely never know the rush...you get...Back in 98-99 I have a picture of 2 700's and 680 stuck, but what you really don't know is doc's sitting on his 700 stuck taking the picture... we made it 7 miles from the truck, and spent 5 hours ... what little ridding we got.. I was still happy to be playing hooky from work .... that's when we rode 136 and 121...I loved my 141 but tell you what I can do on my 151 in the powder and the rush I get....is hard to explain....somedays ridding in the powder I begin to believe that it's Better than SEX :D ...

When finished ridding for the day in powder.... you'll realized there's muscles in your body that you have not use in along time...half the time you can not see you dash or find the windsheild bag... but atleast you know your BEERS staying cold...and when you take off you gear your clothes under,,, are wet from sweat...

Floating from side to side...
Powder flying in your face
Shake you head to clean of the snow packed in you goggles :p

if you guys think snowmobiling in powder is fun, try snowboarding in it. I snowmobile through the powder just to get to where I have my fun. Powder is experienced on a whole different level when you eliminate the machine.

90% of my riding is done in the mountains, out here in B.C Canada we get inbetween 20 to 30 feet a year so i do alot of POW riding. You will need to take alot more stuff with you when you ride Shovel, extra clothes, safety kit, tow rope,
duck tape, zap straps, saw, emergency blanket, matches, lighter, spare plugs, spare belt, radio, cell phone, gas can, and if steep Avi beacon and probe. Now turning in deep pow is all together diff, turning the skis will make the sled tilt the wrong way and once the sled tilts it will start turning the wrong way, so what i do is to go right i put all my weight to the right side so it tilts more you tilt the sharper you turn do the same to go left. It takes some getting use too but over all you just have to work harder to get the sled to go where you want it to, its not the type of riding to do if you want to relax and take it easy but for me would not have it any other way.
