How much better is the 159 over 144 on the hills and in the deep powder. How do the two compare on the trails. How much of a floatation difference. Any difference in the sugar snow on trenching. If you play in the deep and steep what length of track would you go with. Any info would be helpful thanks.

It all depends on the riding you do the most. A 159" track is going to float way better then a 144" track, but you will have to gear down some and you will loose some top speed on the trails. I don't enjoy riding on roads and I try to avoid them if possible, so I went with a 159".

My last sled had a 136 track and I just went to a new machine with a 151 Track. I will not go back...the 151 does excellent on the trail and the hills. rode in five feet of power and do problems. I thought the 159 track might be a little overkill for my riding but choose the one yu think is best for your riding style. Then you can only blame yourself. Opinions are nice but final judgment is yours...Either track would be great

What conditions will you be riding in? I run the 156, it was the biggest available last year. When I have the choice I ride in as deep a powder as I can find, preferably with lots of steep slopes to climb.

Hi omotm I usually ride in the deepest snow I can find with some good hills. Around 3 to 7 feet on average years. I currently have a 144. Just wonder if 159 was worth the up grade my sled looks like yours in the picture quite often. My theory is if you aint stuck you aint playing hard enough. I try to ride every weekend. Got to run the trails to get to the play areas. Sugar snow seems to be the biggest problem last few years. Trenching big problem thats main reason wonder about the upgrade. Trying to talk myself into the upgrade. Just wondering if there is that much difference. Have not been able to ride anything bigger than a 144. Thanks for everyones opinions. All will be helpful.

A 156 or 159 does make all that much difference. However, if you are having a trenching problem, try tightening up your limiter strap by one hole at a time. Weight transfer causes trenching most often.
