Anyone with a Doo twin see this? I thought it was originally the storage oil comiing out of the y-pipe to pipe junction, but it is not. It looks as though it is comming from in between the cylinders, but very hard to tell. Not comming from the raves or the exhaust manifold gaskets either.

Anyone??

my friend has something like that on his 02 700 and we determined that it was coming out of the exhaust, probably because we took his pipe off and when we put it back on we didnt get a good seal with the high temp silicone.

I had the same problem with mine so I changed the exhaust manifold gaskets and resealed the pipe to the manifold and the problem was fixed. If that is not the problem pull one of the rave caps to see if there is any excess oil in there. They also could be leaking.

If you are one of the fortunate few who rides in deep powder, the ailment you discribe is caused by a combination of poorly sealed Y-pipe to expasion chamber and the back pressure caused by ditch banging in deep snow. You can check this by warming up your machine then partially block the exhaust outlet. Looking at the joint you'll see droplets of oil splattering back between the jugs. Don't attempt this with your best riding gloves, use an old rag!

Plugs are over-tight on the first installation. This causes compression washer (gasket) to colapse. Use manufacture's recommended torque specs and keep in mind someday you may have to pull them on the trail using the Doo tool kit.
