Hey guys, my buddy who has a MXZ 600 just got it back the other day from the insurance company and is fixing it up right now. the stock gears are 24/43.. and earlier this season he dropped the top to 23. he also bought a 22.. so the other night he wanted more bottom end.. so he took out the 23 and threw in the 22. I told him he would probably need a new chain.. there is quite the bow in it. Should he get a smaller chain? he dropped 2 teeth from stock.

ProX02RACER: I would in the long term change the chain,if you just want to try it for a couple of runs it should not hurt. Dino

You want to use the shortest chain possible. The longer the chain the more you have to kink it to get it to tighten up.
