I was just wondering if there is an easy way to strip the paint off of the older sleds with painted tunnels.I would love to just have a straight aluminium tunnel with no paint. You probably would have to totally disassemble the sled but I just thought I'd ask.The yellow is starting to get on my nerves.

If it's black boot marks on your tunnel that's bothering you try talking to a BASF or Body shop supplier. There is a clear Urethane Tape product used on automotive paint to protect leading edges from stone chips. I polished the tunnel on an old Bomber RV 340 then applied this tape to protect the finish. I'm sure it'l keep boot marks of the mustard.

At college when we were going to paint a payloader we went to walmart and got what i think was called aviation paint stripper. It comes in either spray bombs or just in a jug. If i remember right you just spray on and wait 2 minutes. Then you spray it off with a hose and you have bare metal. It works great just be careful not to get it any where you want paint
