anyone had to resort to this to equal the cylinders out? from idle to wot it is two hundred or so difference in the egt's. the carbs are synced, and the sled runs great. just a difference in temps and plug readings. the pto side is the richer.

yes clutchman i doo stagger jets it run way nicer i'm 900 now but i doo a 600 mag 580 pto 15 pilot inpto 17.5 in mag 1 1/2 turns out on mag 3/4 turn out on pto but i don't know if i want to raise my needle on the mag??? it is a lot closer than it was +- 30 degrees

thanks doo900. i am running 450's but the pto side looked good and the mag side was fat. i threw in a 440on the mag side haven't tried it yet though. i know it might sound lean but it's not. the mag side was richer not the pto as i said in the eirlier post.

that is not usual to have the mag run richer but your the one reading it , most of the time the mag will burn up first , i'm not doubting you but i have put my egt's together mixed up,take a second look to make sure

Does it have DPM? Check and make sure none of the
tubes are kinked. I've experienced that. Even just
a little kink will move my EGT's alot.

I had a 00 700 and have a 01 800 and both are
close with the same jetting - within 50-75 degrees.

i am absolutely sure of the probe set up and the egt readings. that was the first thing i checked. to make sure the right reading was with the right probe, and cylinder. here is one thing though, i had the pto side nipple break off on the dpm, the little tube, and think i fixed it. maybe i didn't. the nipple broke and was fixed before i got the digitron. maybe i need to look into that more, you think? if the nipple is sucking air or loseing pressure it may cause an erratic reading. had it be working properly perhaps both sides would be a little rich???
