Just inspected the crank seal , it's starting to come off the case, not only that, but I checked if the engine was well aligned, but it was way off, so I had to ligne it up. When I was about to put the clutch back on, I noticed that both side of the primary clutch was badly grooved at the bottom sides. I know that this happens when you have over 10 000 km on the sled but I'm at 1800km. Does anyone have the same problem? Bombardier will change the motor and probably the clutch too. Check yours just to make sure, when you pass youre fingers on the clutch, you can feel the grooves.

Sorry for my ignorance, but my engine mechanics are not that good. When checking the crank seal, where exactly are you looking.

I have a basic understanding, but could use some extra insight to make sure I don't have the same problem.

Behind the clutch. It's the seal around the crank where it comes out of the case.

Is this crank seal issue only on the 800s ?

Geez jeepster ............ did your dealer not PDI the thing? It sounds like he may have charged you for it but not actually done anything!

I think I'd be quite pizzed!
