Do you need reed spacers for V-Force 3 reeds in a 800..I was about to buy some and they said I needed spacers too..my friend has them in his 800 without the spacers and runs fine..any ideas ;)

The reed spacers work well with the stock cages, and I like them with my RAD vavle, but installing the airbox is next to impossible. Save the $50 bucks and buy some clutching.

The main reason for the reed spacers is to get the stock reed stopper out of the way of the transfer port. The vforce3's do not extend into the rear transfer port like the stockers do. When I run the stock reed cages I grind the reed stop to clear the transfer port. Nothing like free hp!

I WAS TOLD THAT THE SPACERS ARE FOR CLEARENCE INSIDE THE CRANKCASE WERE THE REED VALVE GOES IN,SO THE PETALS CAN OPEN PROPERLY.NOW THIS MAY BE ON AN OLDER 779 MACH Z WERE I THINK THE PART IN THE BLOCK IS SMALLER FOR THE VALVE AND BY PUTTING IN THE SPACER THAT MOVES THE VALVE BACK ALLOWING REEDS TO OPEN CORRECTLY,NO I HAVE MY MOD 800 MACH Z WITH V FORCE 3 AND REALLY THE VALVE DOES NOT HIT THE CRANK,BUT PROBABLY WOULD NOT OPEN ALL THE WAY.BUT I COULD BE WRONG SO IF SOMEONE KNOWS FOR SURE PLEASE LET US KNOW,,ALSO WHAT CHASSIS IS THE 94 MACH Z? THE 97 MACH Z.AND THE 98 AND LATER,,,
