Anyone get there stator rewound? Did it work fine after? What was the cost? I'm dropping mine off today to get my lighting coil rewound. $100can per coil. Hope it works.

Where are you bringing it? I had mine done at stator corp. Took 3 weeks, phone calls every other day, they called asking what the specs were. Dan said Dave was an Idiot, Dave said he had alot of problems with Dan. Each one gave me a song and dance and now my sled runs backwards. Look at the 1989 wildcat post. Hope you've found another rewinder.
Good luck

As long as the sled is not an EFI a rewind should work ok.
Stator corp has rewound several for me - the only problem sleds have been EFI's.
Also heard good things about electrictech (probably spelled it wrong)
Stator corp overnighted my stator - sent in in on monday - had it back by thursday.
For a lighting coil failure I wouldn't be hesitant about a rewind.
My .02 cents.

Don' be hesitant at all about rewinding, anybody with a little mech./elect.
aptitude can do it themselves.Just do it the exact same as the original. My father does them on occasion and saves people big bucks.
