The sled is down for the season. maybe only got 100 km on it with the constant problems I had. I need to put it away for the season. I can't start it due to the antifreeze getting inot the injector bottle. Seal is gone. So I am unable to fog the engine or run stabilizer through it. So here is what I figure. Still add stabilizer to the fuel ??? . Drain the carb. Put oil or the fogging agent down the cilinders.Crank it over to coat the walls. Then just the normal stuff like grase, clean, inspect. Anything elese anyone can think of. Just messed up cause I can't start it. Thanks.

what are you going to do, leave it broke up untill fall? if so, what you posted is probably the best thing to do for summerizeing. i would fix it, or get it fixed so it can run before a summer storage. then fog it and stabilize the fuel. just because the temps rise doesn't mean you have to put the sled to sleep.

only thing I see not getting done right is the crank bearings .where are they getting oil from to keep them rust free?

Sorry guys. The reason I am not repairing it right now is the cost. I have had quite a few things go on it. A-arm, Gears in chain case, Ski damage ect. Been able to do all the labour myself so far. Spent $750 Cdn so far an it has been down most of the winter. Only 100 km this year. The antifreeze is getting in throught the seals around the RAVE shaft or valve shaft. Sorry this is where my knowlege stops. Alot of you guys figured this one out for me. Went to dealer and he confirmed it. He was doing one right then. Any way....Had my first accident in my truck in twenty years. Insurance came due and I got a 78% increase. Also company is no longer insuring sleds or atvs. So I just can't aford to fix until maybe the summer. BTW. The 98, 500 engine has a histroy of the crank going at 8000 km. I have 10,000 + now so since the engine would be out may as well do it too. (if needed) Too much in repair bills right now and still feed a family. Thanks for the info.
