This is great news. My favorite rag will be on the web.

SnowTech Magazine and Maximum Sled Worldwide announces an exciting new partnership. This joint venture will allow both SnowTech and Maximum Sled to expand its readership base and offer more content for the readers and more exposure for the snowmobile industry.

“We have been eyeing each other for some time,” said Larry Kaduce, Publisher of Maximum Sled Worldwide. “The technical scope of SnowTech far surpasses anything else available and is exactly what we needed. Maximum Sled’s online dominance is precisely what Snow Tech has been lacking, which truly makes this a win-win proposition.”

“We haven’t pushed the net in the past,” said Keven Beilke, Managing Editor at SnowTech Magazine. “However, we knew we needed to enhance our online presence, so it made sense to join forces with Maximum Sled rather than reinvent the wheel. Maximum Sled has proven itself to us that by working hard to gain the top spot, it will likely remain in that position for some time to come.”

The overall plan for the partnership is to provide SnowTech articles to its readers and the readers of Maximum Sled through a convenient online format. Detailed test reports and snowmobile dyno information will also be made available for and provided in a searchable format. Maximum Sled will gain the technical expertise of SnowTech to make its existing publication more complete to a wider variety of readers. Each publication expects to see a substantial increase of readership, due to the parallel approach each has had to the industry. Advertisers of each publication will gain exclusive cross-promotion at rates already known to be the best available.

Shane Zeppelin, Producer at Maximum Sled, adds, “This affiliation will allow us to utilize the knowledge that the SnowTech staff has gained over the years and offer our readers more technical content, as well as expand our readership base. SnowTech Magazine is well known as the best technical publications for snowmobiles in print.”

That would make sense. Snowtech isn't going to put all their articles online for free, just so no one buys their mag anymore. At least you would be getting something worth reading for your $$$, unlike another site that starts with Am.

Cool, yet another site to find info. I always thought it sucked Sno Tech didn't have a good site. And I'm a paying member on the Am!!!! site and it's sweet i thik. I can find all sorts of old archive info and articles. And other paid only features. Well worth 20bucks a year. I don't mind paying for a good site!! Wether it's 5 bucks or 20, as long as the content and features are there.

Maximumsled.com a leader in snowmobile content? Online Dominance? Top Spot? Leading online publication?

I just don't see it.. Snowmobile world should have been who SnowTech merged with. I have posted at Maximumsled before, and had to wait almost a week for a reply. I don't think their site is that great actually.

Pay site? I hope that current SnowTech subscribers are given login/passwords.

Keep up the good work SW guys!!

I was referring to AmXXXX's lack of real technical articles. Perhaps you remember a year or so ago, they actually had an article on how to replace your windshield. I'm sorry, but anyone who needs a "tech" article for that has no business even being out on a sled.
They do have a few good things going for them, such as the Shootout, and their vintage sleds at the back of each issue, but for hardcore sledders they just don't cut it.

I have been spending most of my time over here latley, seems alot more
"friendly" on this site. I am at MaxSled alot with the same handle and at Amsnow using "formulaz".

I get sucked into the pay site deal at amsnow, what a waste of money. I was one of the first subscribers on there pay site but only stayed with it for 2 years....and I didnt get my monies worth. At least on there pay side posts, I didnt have to hear how much I sucked because I ride SkiDoo all the time......I suck for a whole lot better reasons than that and dont need the posers reminding me! :p Over the years there has always been some real viscious flamers over there and that is still allowed today, same goes for the "R" rating for language. Not a family kid safe site for sure. I only fall in there once a week and take a peek.

MaxSled does have some great instant info available, something that I wish SW could attempt. Good tech and product articles, and will probably get better with the help of SnowTech...my personal favorite rag. There post area is okay, but not as good as SW SWRules It can be kinda tough over there for info though, I found that they have a lot more newbies asking for info and not getting decent responces. They also seem to have a bunch of posers and wannabe's.....lots of teenagers with way to much time on there hands so you do see alot of questionable answers to others real questions. Harmless enough but alot of BS. They do try to keep the "G" rating and family kid safe as well. I never saw a naked chic :0: over there like I saw here a couple weeks back.
Wow! nice tattoo and hair style

Would I pay for that site if thats what they go to....No! I might concider if they gave something in return becides the site. Something on the line of a T-shirt or 3 free issues to Snowtech....might make me at least concider a paysite.

I like SW very much for there post forums. I see alot of the same folks here as at the other sites. Its good to see the best of the bunch found there way over here and the riff raff is kept at a minimum. Over here the info is always legit and most everyone seems to be genuine.

But SW does lack a bit outside of the forums. The E-zine part of SW dosent seem to be updated very often and never nothing new. Im not criticizing, I dont get to see behind the scenes and maybe there isnt enough advertising dollars or involvement to keep it current.

And thanks for listening
Todd
