Last tuesday night we had a rider lose his life to a tree after failing to negotiate a corner, he was 34 years old.
Now on saturday night we had another rider lose his life in the same fashion with the same exact tree!!!,he was found on top of the flowers set for the previous rider, this rider was 33 years old.

What are the odds of that happening ,within five days?

26 deaths here in WI. this year.

BE CAREFUL OUT THERE FELLOW RIDERS.

AS far as i know alcohol is not a factor in these crashes and the tree has been removed.they were at MT. VALHALLA IN BAYFIELD COUNTY.

Cutting the tree down accomplishes nothing...the tree didnt kill them..their thumb did...this song is getting mighty old..too much speed...too many dead people..i heard a sledder was killed near gowganda in northern ontario yesterday..no info yet on who or what happened..Steve

What's cutting the tree down going to do? Slow down!
I hav lost count this winter how many guys I have seen sliding around corners and losing control of there sleds! The real downside is that they are on my side of the trail!!! Slow down and get the H*ll over!!

Hey Rottie I agree , cutting trees and softening turns won't help . People will only find something else to hit . At least they are hitting trees and not other people who are operating at reasonable speeds ,straight and sober.

On the Ironwood radio station they said both of them involved alcohol and excesive speed. They said one gut was on a borrowed machine and had almost no experience on a sled. Awful sad way to "try it out".
