That pic was posted along time ago. What happened is the deer was hit by a speeding train then it ended up on the powerline. The best deer vs moving vehicle pic I seen were the ones were a deer jumped off an overpass and went through the front window of a dodge durago.

from a train? i didnt see any tracks in the second picture maybe i need glasses. We have been having a problem in michigan with black bears climbing those post and getting electricuded (i cant spell).

I assume the person taking pics is standing on the tracks,which appear elevated, so the deer didn't fly quite as high as if it were on level ground...just the angle of departure :D ..the law of physics. Made it easier for scavengers with wings though :p
