Hi guys...tossing an idea around to create a MachZ renegade. Now..what is the best way to set the track up? Should a guy go to bigger drivers and bigger idler wheels?
Are the benefits of a rolled chaincase worth the effort?\
Also, lets say a 1.5" track fits under a machZ with no mods needed. A Big wheel kit fot eh rear idlers puts more power do the ground right? If a guy were to put big wheels in the back, how long a track would you need to have roughly a 136" foot print? Would I need a 144?
lets say I wanted to drop and roll the chaincase, and add big rear idlers...what length of track would I need to have the 136" footprint?
Hope that makes sense...

hi rocket..unless your in the very steep and deep dont do the drop and roll its a lot of work, the big wheel kit would benefit but they are usually pricey,by just adding a 136 1.5 track will make your sled way better in the powder, you can buy the 121-136 extensions and do a pullback and put a 144 on,this will give a great approach angle and with the big wheel kit you will have something you will enjoy :p

also ditch the sway bar and put a set of good skis to help the front float, took my sway bar off this year, feels like i gained muscle..lol,sled is much easier to throw around in the powder :p

Rocketman,
1 1/2 paddle is the BIGGEST you can go on the CK-3.
There is no way you could go with 10 tooth drivers without rolling the chain case. Anything over 1.5 and you would need to go to 8 tooth drivers.
A big wheel set up in the back is also not in your favor because with the stock wheels the track slams the top of the tunnel bad enough on tail landings or going thru ditches. This is why A.C. designed the ETT tunnel [bent up in the back] for clearance. Only reason I could see a big wheel kit is for drag racing ONLY, not the bush.
Why did'nt you just ask, you know I have a long track Mach [second season]?

:undercover: just got back from revy with my mack z 151. 98 ck3 chassis.climbs just as high as 03 800 151 but took lots of work and money to get it there. easily out climb buddies 925 big bore ac 151.
i must say i also have 98 summit with light weight everything and modded to the nuts 670 that blows most others away when it runs.built mach z for reliability issues. was getting tired of being pulled out on my 670.
if you want the power of a big block, build the big block.
thats my 2 cents.
good luck!!!
