I've been reading the race manual and it sounds like the helix can have an effect on fuel economy. Would a larger helix angle increase mpg?

My FIII has a stock 50° helix. I have a 52/48 in the toolbox; what differences would I experience with this cam as far as performance and fuel economy?

this is a loaded question, #1 it may not even workat all, #2 changing helix could effect fuel mileage but probably not a noticable change{depending how you ride} the 52 48 would upshift and backshift quicker and could give you better top speed depending on conditions, but w/o doing anything up front it could just fall on it's face or over rev. people think a 800 twin is hard to get clutched perfect, try one of those f3 600s.50 degree helix was used on almost every skidoo back then and the drive clutch was tuned to them
