Has anyone put reverse on their new 2002 ZL 800efi SS or any
other 2002 sled? I have all the parts now (Finally) and I am going get it installed this week. I was just wondering if it effects the performance of the sled any? I have heard it doesn`t but only from the dealer. *Can anyone help me out on this topic? Thanks!

You will lose a couple mph on the top end , because of gear changes, but it will have a little more out of the hole. Definnently not that big of a deal for what you gain in exchange.

Just like 7c said.. *stock gearing 24T 39B With reverse 23top big fat 39 bottom, the chain case is quite full of new parts, I am actually taking mine OUT of the 99 zrt and am going to install it in the zl,, Went 115.2 MPH yesterday on the lake *W reverse.
