NHIcegator 02-17-2002, 09:40 AM Trail conditions in mid northern N.H
Went to Jefferson New Hampshire area this weekend.
trails were okay friday night and saturday early but by sat. afternoon they were pretty hammerd.
worst spots were as usual around twin mtn. where everybody parks but once you got ouside a few miles they were pretty good.
on a good note it was snowing when we left last night, gotta be home for the Daytona 500 you know.
And it's snowing pretty good right now here so things could get better.
Wolfman 02-17-2002, 04:56 PM I put a trail update in the trail condition forum for Yellowstone National Park. *Look under Wyoming trail conditions.
trailcop 02-17-2002, 06:29 PM N.W. lower Michigan (Grand Traverse area). *Out in the truck this afternoon; from what I could see there wasn't much base and a lot of "brown" snow/mud. *We had a little new snow during the night. *There were a few fresh tracks, but not many. *I saw only two sleds . *The weatherman is calling for highs in the 40's with south winds 15 to 25. *It doesn't sound good. http://www.snowmobileworld.com/forums/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/confused.gif
ZR006CatMan 02-17-2002, 06:52 PM Okay.. Here's my report from around munising the weekend of 16 and 17th. Feeders trails had alot of dirt mixed in. A little brown look. Expescial by roads. Trails 8 was in okay shape.. *Could use more, but where couldn't it? Au-train to harvey was pretty good. Started getten beat up towards the end.. but i bet the groomer took care of it. Small amounts of rocks mixed in the base. But very rideable. Trial 7 south of 8 was awsome for the most part. Lack of traffic i belive halped. Not much snow, but was white when i was there. Didn't ride to grand marai. But i head was some deep mougules. Othere than that. There where better than anything else i rode on this year. If your gonna complain about sand and snow mixed. Stay home. But if you want to ride. You still can. Not sure what will happen this week though.

paul yarek 03-04-2002, 02:24 AM never give up on our great canadian winters, 20ish years ago in february i was working outside on our greenhouses back in my farm days. my friend rolled up on his motorcycle to shoot the breeze and the ground was so dry already he never left wheel marks. i finished what i had to do over the next week and the friday-saturday that week i went riding my motorcycle. i remember having to bungie my leather jacket on the bike because it was so warm. when march arrived so did a snowflake with a couple more, then a storm. we had to ride the snowmobiles that year to one of the greenhouses so that we could water the plants and i remember thawing pipes in a winter storm that year on april 2nd. it was great.
RNM2399 03-04-2002, 01:28 PM Trail conditions in Leelanau County MI (North of Traverse City) are awesome. Soo much powder! We got buried in this drift. 02MXZ600 03-06-2002, 09:48 AM My dad and I went to Hinkley, MN. *The trails were really pretty good. *The tared trail was bad, cause the sun was heating up the trail. *All the other trails were good. *They wernt awesome, but they were good. *The trails inside the forest were very good. *Had a very good base, smooth, and wide. *Thats my input now. *I will be going to Cable, Wis next week.
