hi i thought you might like to know about this. on my way home with my new sled (well new to me) i probably totaled my truck . why am i telling you because i can't preach enough about securing the back of your sled. here's what happend i was driving on a four lane road where the speed limit is 45 mph the truck in front of me made a quick left into the median and when he did there was a car coming right at me in my lane so i also took the center median but she hit me in the passanger side of my truck jack knifed my truck into the trailer. all i cound think i the sled had to hit the cap of my trailer, but when i opened the cap the sled was fine. the tie down bar slide forward but the back strap was so tight i had to back up the sled to release it. so please take the time to secure your sled. p.s here's a pic. of my new toy 2003 800x

Same thing happened to a buddy of mine years ago.Unfortunately his sled wasn't tied down and was a right off with his truck. It was a brand new sled and he had never rode it. :( Also had a buddy bringing home a brand new Yammie dirt bike. One of the tie downs broke on the one side of the front end and the bike flipped off the trailer at about 60 miles an hour.It wasn't a right off but it sure didn't look like new anymore either.
